Georgia Strong Families goal is to support families so they can have a healthy and safe pregnancy. Our educators work alongside the family to ensure they have a healthy baby, raise a healthy family, and keep themselves healthy and strong.
We provide:
- Connection to local community resources Perinatal Health supported the creation of the Georgia Strong Families Program (GSFP). Georgia Strong Families is a grant funded program through 2029.
- Personal visits with an educator
- One-on-one or in group settings
- Fun activities that promote early learning and development
- Prenatal & Postnatal Screenings
- Child Developmental Screenings
Curriculum
Partners for a Healthy Baby
Partners for a Healthy Baby is a research-based, practice-informed curriculum that promotes improving birth outcomes, strengthening families, enhancing child health and developmental outcomes, and promoting economic self-sufficiency.
Curriculum Benefits:
- Education is provided in group sessions that aid in expanding a family’s circle of support
- Relevant information based on the woman’s stage of pregnancy
- More than 100 topics for prenatal families that such as fetal development, nutrition, labor and delivery, postpartum depression, infant care, safe sleep practices, and breastfeeding
- Prepare parents with the knowledge and skills needed to care for their baby
Program Incentives
Raising a family can get costly. The Georgia Strong Families program offers parents various ways to reduce that price tag while gaining confidence in their child-raising abilities. These incentives include:

- For families who may not have a safe space for their new baby
- Sweet Beginnings Baby Boutique
- Earn while you learn” program, where families can exchange earned points for needed baby items in our store
Who is eligible?
Women who are currently pregnant and moms of babies under the age of 18 months are encouraged to enroll. Participants must live in Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Muscogee, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, or Taylor County.
