You don’t have to be a “Super Dad” to be a GREAT DAD!

Georgia Strong Families’ Fatherhood Initiative aims to equips fathers with the self-awareness, compassion and sense of responsibility that every good parent needs. The goals of the program are to:

  • Empower and increase self-worth as a man and father
  • Increase awareness and knowledge about the elements to being a good father
  • Encourage emotional involvement with their child(ren)
  • Increase pro-fathering habits and parenting skills

Fatherhood programming includes:

  • Case Management
  • Men’s Resource Fairs
  • Monthly Barbershop Talks
  • Dad Baby Bootcamp
  • Quarterly Health & Wellness Mailings

Topics for the sessions include the father’s role, discipline, children’s growth, communication, working with mom and co-parenting, and more.

Who is eligible?

Fathers, grandfathers, or father figures involved with a child under the age of three or men with a pregnant partner are encouraged to enroll.

Men who do not meet eligibility requirements are still welcome to participate. No dad will be turned away from programming.
