Head Start Awareness Month

Head Start has been in existence for over 50 years. October was declared Head Start Awareness Month by President Ronald Reagan on October 22, 1982. Since this date, October has been a month for communities to celebrate the life changing impact of Head Start. As our community members and partners, we would like to know how you will celebrate. Will you consider visiting a Head Start site on October 22, 2018, or any day this month to read to the children? Will you tell someone about Head Start? The National Head Start Association is encouraging Head Start supporters throughout the country to post on social media accounts using the hashtag
