The Period of PURPLE Crying Overview

This presentation will provide information about the lines of evidence and research supporting the Period of PURPLE Crying shaken baby syndrome/abusive head trauma prevention program. Additionally, the presentation will cover the economic impact of abusive head trauma on systems and society as well as the new Period of PURPLE Crying mobile app. Ryan Steinbeigle, executive director of the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome, will be presenting the information alongside Chanda Clift, director of the Period of PURPLE Crying program.

This activity has been submitted to the Alabama State Nurses Association (ASNA) for approval to award contact hours. ASNA is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation
