    Positive Behavior Support Parent Academy Muscogee County

     

    The Center for Leadership in Disability and The Georgia Department of Public Health have partnered to develop the Positive Behavior Support Parent Academy. The Parent Academy will offer caregivers an individualized training program that addresses persistent challenging behavior of children 3 – 5 years old. Come unite with other parents of young children, learn helpful skills, and walk away with some awesome tools!

    2100 Comer Avenue
    Columbus, GA 31904

    DATES:   January 11, January 18,
    January 25, February 1, and
    February 8

    TIME:   12:30pm – 2:30pm

    WHO:    The group is for parents/caregivers
    only. Children do not need to attend.

    Participants will receive $20 for each session attended to assist with travel/child care.

    This FREE Parent Academy will include:

                                 *Skill-building content, hands-on activities, discussion, and peer-to-peer support

                                                                                            Topics:
    *Understanding your child’s behavior
    *Preventing challenging behaviors during daily routines
    *Teaching your child new life and communication skills
    *Creating and using visual supports
