Parent Education Groups

These groups are open to expectant moms and Parents of children 0-3 years old. Families are invited to discuss topics on child development, family health, caring for baby, managing stress, community resources, and so much more. These virtual classes will occur every 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Group Connection

Fun, educational or community events for parents to connect with other parents in our program. Georgia Strong Families offers group connections monthly so that parents can bring their child and learn new information, obtain social support, and share their experiences with others. Group Connections are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Barber Shop Talks

Safe space for men to meet and freely talk about their experiences. Men openly discuss masculinity, fatherhood, relationships, and critical issues that affect their lives. Barber Shop Talks meet once a month.

Childbirth Education

Six-week session that teaches parents what to expect during childbirth and how to prepare for labor and delivery. Topics include: the birthing process, pain control, breathing and relaxation techniques, birth planning, caring for baby, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and more. Fathers are encouraged to attend with mom. Sessions are held three times a year both virtually and in-person.

“Play, Learn, & Connect” Play Groups

In-person group sessions that are open to the community and provides child development education to families. Our monthly playgroups provide an incredible opportunity for children to learn, thrive, and socialize while providing parents with educational activities that they can continue with their little ones at home.
